What is your nationality? Today people are rarely influenced by a single culture. It is easier than ever to communicate with someone across the country or across the world instantly. It is easier to travel great distances in a short amount of time and we see the world fragmented through the mass media. We are not just a single nationality. We live a duality of our ancestors' mixed beliefs through our mother and father and that which surrounds us daily. I don't see this "melting pot" as a dilution of ourselves but rather a rich new woven tapestry. This sculpture melds together many of my cultural influences.
